i’m back! and reflective…

it’s been a doggone long time since i’ve written in this space! a lot has happened, yet so much remains the same. i mean, life circumstances differ, but desires and life and God remain unchanged. it’s still about loving God and loving people — it’s just that right now we’re trying to figure out the “where” of God’s plan for us to carry that out! today it’s here. tomorrow it may be elsewhere. the beauty of it is that i don’t have to figure it out! God’s awfully good at taking care of those kinds of things, so for now, we trust.

i must say, i’ve been going through some old stuff from our 411 youth days in PA, and what a trip! it’s me — but me from 4 years ago. have you ever come face-to-face with your younger self? it’s cool in ways, but it makes you realize that YOU are not the same. never! yes, i’m the same old me, but not really. i’d like to think it’s a new improved me! but you certainly don’t stand still. life and God and the course of this world are all tugging on you to move in one direction or another. and so you change – for better or worse.

ok, last random thought. as i think back on my past, and look out into the future, i can honestly make this statement without hesitation: i couldn’t be more thankful for the past, or more excited for the future.
